Hi, I'm Keely, and this is my Love Blog. Did you ever write a love note like this one as a child? I think many people are curious about this kind of "romantic" love as early as grade school. We just can't wait to have that first boyfriend or girlfriend to hold hands with on the playground :) Fairy tales like Cinderella and her Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty and her magical kiss fascinate us from an early age. We dream of riding off into the sunset with romantic knights on white horses and believe in our own "happily- ever- afters."

Love is something most people are searching for if they haven't found it already. They want to learn all they can about it and to share their experiences. So, I've created this blog for two reasons: First, to explore any and all "love-related" issues... everything from secret crushes and romantic gifts to online dating sites and wedding plans. I want you, the reader, to benefit from the best information out there.

Second, I wanted to provide a place where we can tell our favorite love stories. Did you marry your high school sweetheart? Do you know a couple who's been happily married for 50 years? Are you dying to finally reveal a secret crush? Maybe you would like everyone to hear about your very unique or romantic proposal? Whatever it is, these kinds of true love tales make us all feel happy and inspired. Please share yours with me here at The Love Shack (and come back often!)

Wishing you lots of love!

Keely

Have you ever known a couple who were so connected that they passed away within a short time of one another?

Yesterday, I got the news that a close friend of the family had died. His wife passed away just thirteen months ago and he just never recovered from the loss. They were a wonderful couple, happily married for fifty-plus years, with three children and five grandchildren. They were in their seventies at the times of their deaths and had spent all those years doing just about everything together (he worked from home and she was a homemaker). Sadly, nobody was surprised to hear about his death (from old age).

P.S. I have decided to post a daily question, inspired by another great blog: One Minute Writer.
